Dually accredited by ACSI and WASC

San Francisco Christian School holds dual accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We have been accredited continuously since 2008, first under WASC. In 2022 we made ACSI our lead accreditor, aligning our accreditation with our identity as a Christian school while keeping WASC’s regional recognition alongside it.

Accountable in every cycle

Accreditation is a commitment to academic improvement and school development, not a certificate on a wall. Each cycle we complete a full self-study of our program, our curriculum, and our plan for future development, then open our doors to a visiting team of professional educators. Our most recent self-study concluded with a joint ACSI and WASC team visit in April 2024, opening our current cycle, which runs through 2029. Between visits we report our progress to ACSI every year, so the accountability is continuous rather than occasional.

Why it matters for your student

Accreditation holds us to standards beyond our own. For students, an accredited school on an application helps when earning admission into high schools and colleges.
