Cristal Wachter

I serve as a 5th grade teacher and Elementary Co-Coordinator and am entering my sixth year of teaching at SFC. I hold a Master's Degree in TESOL and spent three years teaching ESL in China before returning to the Bay Area. I live near SFC and I'm invested in the surrounding neighborhood. Both of my kids are current SFC students, which gives me a firsthand view of the community I serve as both a teacher and a parent.

My family is also invested in our community through our local church. My husband is the associate pastor at the nearby San Francisco Christian Center, the church where I grew up, and I serve as a co-leader of the Couples Ministry and on the Worship Team. Outside of school and church, I love traveling with my family, and I'll admit I'm a big Disney fan. My time abroad, my roots in the local church, and my deep ties to the SFC community all shape the classroom I build for my students each year.
