Director of Faculty Innovation & Technology
I serve as SFC's Director of Faculty Innovation & Technology, which is a fancy way of saying I help our teachers and our school make the most of the tools we have, from the classroom technology your students use every day to the systems that keep the school running behind the scenes. SFC is home for me in a deep way: I attended from kindergarten through graduation in 2004, and it's a joy to now serve the school that shaped me.
Before stepping into this role, I spent several years teaching middle and high school science and some programming here. That time in the classroom shapes everything I do now. My goal is to make technology serve teaching and learning rather than get in the way of it, and to walk alongside our teachers, especially those new to SFC, as they grow.
Away from school, I'm a husband and father of four (three boys and one girl), so life at home is full and loud in the best way. My wife, Renae, and I love to slow down over a good cup of coffee together whenever we can steal the moment. Our family is active in our church, where I help with the youth group, media ministry, and food pantry.
When I get a free moment, you'll usually find me out on my bike, around a table playing board games, or digging into Scripture. Above all, I want everything I do here to point back to Christ and to serve the families who make SFC such a special place.
